Monday, February 10, 2014 the Montserrat Social Security turned the keys to its new E. Karney Osborne building and offices the new Little Bay Town Centre. In what was seen to be a very hectic and well co-ordinated move over the weekend from its previous offices in Sweeneys the hard working staff diligently furnished the new building and made it adequate for its clients so that a smooth and continuous work flow could commence the following Monday.
A semi-formal opening and blessings was attended by a small gathering was held. An official opening at later date will be announced where members of the public will be invited to attend. The building designed by local architects Alford Dyett & Associates was built by another local firm – Galloway & Associates. The two story building now houses the Montserrat Social Security offices on the ground floor and the Montserrat Development Corporation on the upper floor.
